Google has decided to eliminate it, while instead Huawei brings it back into vogue with its own Huawei Assistant. Announced at the launch of the series Mate 30, this is an additional screen that enables 4 new features within the EMUI 10.

Once swiped and entered into Huawei Assistant, you can use it for look for information inside the smartphone. You can search for details in installed apps, memos, emails, calendar and even online searches via browser and news feeds. The other functionality concerns thequick access to various shortcuts, including favorite images and playlists or adding a new event in the calendar. These shortcuts can be pinned in the home screen for even faster access.
We continue with SmarterCare, a feature able to study and understand user behavior, providing info in real time based on its habits. We close with the aforementioned News Feeds, also powered by the AI system (as for the other modes). As the name suggests, it will be a list of news from the main newspapers, chosen according to the tastes demonstrated by the user over time. Pre-installed as standard on the new Mate 30, it will be released in the future via Huawei AppGallery.
