Meizu launches a lot of products: POP 2, EP63, Hi-Fi DAC, backpacks and belts!

Da poco it was presented Meizu 16s, new top of the range with Snapdragon 855. But apart from the smartphone sector, the Asian home has also renewed its accessories ecosystem by launching many news. Not just new headphones, including POP 2 and EP63NC, but also products for the clothing industry.

After the first model of last year, the Meizu POP 2 are the new true wireless headphones second generation. It doesn't change much aesthetically, with a minimal white look enriched by a LED ring with bluish light. With a weight of 5.4 g each, they contain batteries resized by 55 mAh each but which promise adoubled autonomy. With a charge they guarantee 8 hours of listening compared to the 3 of the previous model.

New features include connectivity Bluetooth 5.0 LE (and no longer BT 4.2) and a transport case that is recharged via USB Type-C but with a battery halved by 350 mAh. The headphones have a graphene diaphragm that offers improved sound quality. The price is also improving, costing now 399 yuan, approximately €53.

If instead you prefer minimally wired headphones but Bluetooth, there are the new Meizu EP63NC, the first headphones with active noise cancellation produced by the Chinese brand. Besides having a design neckband, being able to be hung around the neck, they have the support aptX-HD and a battery from 175 mAh which offers a range of approximately 11 hours. Furthermore, just a 15 recharge minutes to get 3 listening hours. Headphones connect away Bluetooth 5.0 and offer a certification IPX5 against liquids and dust. The price for these is 499 yuan, approximately €66.

Meizu Hi-Fi DAC Headphone Adapter

For some time now, smartphones, especially top-end smartphones, no longer have a mini-jack input. That's why Meizu decided to launch this adapter with built-in Hi-Fi DAC to be connected to the USB Type-C port. Inside there is a Cirrus Logic CS43131 chipset from 32 bit / 384 Khz and works with both Android and Windows and macOS. Its price is 169 yuan, approximately €22.

Meizu Urban Backpack

Leaving aside the technological innovations, Meizu also decided in the 2016 to enter the backpacks market, after Xiaomi and OnePlus also did it. And this new Meizu Urban Backpack is made of 650D Oxford fabric with upholstery waterproof. Available in Black and Gray colors, inside it is instead at 100% in polyester fiber, where we find various compartments with one dedicated to notebook from 15.6 ″ and tablet. The design is ergonomically designed to distribute weight all along the back, and the shoulder straps are in breathable fabric. It weighs 986 grams and costs 169 yuan, approximately €22.

Finally, Meizu made a somewhat bizarre move, deciding to propose a clothing accessory that was not exactly cheap. It's about a knitted belt to 100% cotton with mKnit process, directly inspired by the founder of Meizu, J. Wong. Available only in the Flight Blue color, it costs about 699 yuan, approximately €93.
