Il Vivo NEX It was one of the most successful smartphones in this 2018, coming to sell a lot in just 6 months since launch. The company knows this and, after having launched one peculiar successor, has decided to resume the smartphone and make a "futuristic" variant. Shown at the Qualcomm Technology Summit, the phone is able to support the 5G networks, thanks to the integration of a chipset Snapdragon 855.

Vivo NEX: A version with Snapdragon 855 supports 5G
Presented to the public last 5 December, Qualcomm's new 7 nm high-end chipset is the first to officially support the 5G communication standard. This thanks to the implementation of the X50 modem, capable of reaching peak speeds in downloads up to 5000 Mbps. It is not, however, an internal modem but an external one: the manufacturers themselves will decide whether to have the 4G or 5G version of the SoC. This is because, at least in 2019, 5G will be poco more than a technological show, given the lack of infrastructure at a global level.
Ma Vivo, together with Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, nubia e OnePlus, is among the first companies to work closely with Qualcomm to move in this direction. This is why this version of the Vivo NEX, for the moment purely demonstrative. But already at CES 2019 and MWC 2019 there will almost certainly be more considerable innovations.
