LineageOS stops supporting some Xiaomi and OnePlus models

Time passes inexorably and, with it, support for smartphones that are becoming increasingly dated. In the case of Xiaomi things are becoming more reassuring, given how much the company team has taken care of carrying out the MIUI software even on rather old models, except for some cases. The matter is instead different when it comes to custom ROM, specifically the famous LineageOS, so dear to the modding community.

LineageOS: here are which Xiaomi models will no longer be supported

At the beginning of 2018 on the GitHub channel have been announced new requirements to be met for the development of LineageOS ROMs. Standards more stringent than in the past, concerning the synergy between software and hardware to ensure a more optimized user experience at the expense of the amount of devices supported. Here, then, that some models Xiaomi and OnePlus (but not only) will no longer be supported, as those who have ported on that device are inactive and / or do not respect the above parameters. The models in question will be the following:

  • Redmire Xiaomi Note Pro 5 (Whyred)
  • Xiaomi Note 3 Redmire (Kenzo)
  • Xiaomi Mi Max (Hydrogen)
  • Xiaomi Redmi 1S (Armani)
  • OnePlus X
