Nubia during the MWC in Barcelona presented this brand new to the public entry-level which, for the price range to which it is proposed, has in Android in stock version And in the treated materials, two of the main strengths.
nubia N1 Lite: Entry level but with character | REVIEW
The sales box looks like a classic white hardcover, in which we can find the following items:
- Nubia N1 Lite;
- battery charger wall;
- cable USB 2.0;
- miscellaneous manuals;
- pine to extract the SIM compartment.
Design and Materials
Il design of this N1 Lite is "from category"; we could not expect anything transcendental, le lines are very soft, thanks also togreat grip of the device; the frame is characterized (in ours black / gold coloring) from a gold border, which certainly attracts attention; to report some creak if you exercise a little pressure with the palm of your hand.
In right side we can find the volume balance and Power button, well distanced from each other to facilitate use in everyday life; while in the bottom we can find the Micro USB charging dock and first microphone.
The device measures 155,5 x 76,5 x 8,1 mm and has a weight of 126,5 grams; overall the phone is well balanced. The left side is completely clean, while up we find theinput per il mini-jack from 3,5 mm.
La part back it is the one that undoubtedly characterizes the company, above is located a according to microphone (for the removal of ambient noise); poco below we can observe the camera from 8 mega-pixels, LED flash and a biometric release sensor, which is not always present in this price range; poco below the company logo and lo speaker, powerful enough for every occasion.
Frontally we have a 5.5 inch display with resolution HD (1280 X 720 pixels) of type IPS, which will guarantee us one good readability Under the direct sunlight, the front camera from the top right corner resides 5 mega-pixels, the capsule and the various sensors (brightness and proximity).
Overall this Nubia N1 Lite is built really very well, the back cover, rough to the touch and removable, hides 2 SIM slots in Micro format, lo memory expansion slot and finally the battery (not removable from 3000 mAh).
Reception and telephone part
N1 Lite does not betray expectations, reception is one of the important parts in a telephone and, with N1 Lite, we conversed with our interlocutor no problem, the signal is very stable with each antenna ( 2G, 3G, 4G ); we then have the Wi-Fi b / g / n monoband, Bluetooth 4.1 and the GPS. LTE allows you to navigate in 4G up to 150 Mbps, the 20 band is also available on this model.
Hardware and Performance
Difficult perhaps to ask for more; the CPU is one quad-core MediaTek MT6737 da 1.3 GHz, the GPU is one Mali T720 and they are present 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory is from 16 GB and it is expandable through micro SD, without giving up the possibility of inserting a second SIM, having N1 Lite the separate slots.
N1 Lite moves well in everyday life and allows discrete performance without giving up anything: social, multimedia, even passing through prolonged gaming sessions. Obviously this without timing opening and closing app against the top: we are still talking about an entry-level.
Who would have expected it ?. Nubia, on this N1 Lite changes face. Based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the phone does not have the classic "heart Nubia", but rather the interface is based on Android Stock. At first the impression was not the best for me but, with the passage of time, I began to think that perhaps the company has hit the mark; very light graphics mixed with low cost hardware will allow you to enjoy it fully of your smartphone without really giving up anything.
3 Launcher therefore it is the master, classic drawer for applications, Android Stock style notification bar, and finally a menu full of "classic MediaTek" settings (Program on / off, for example).
But a question arises spontaneously:
- Will we ever see an entry-level with the Nubia UI ?. Combining design and style is one of the firm points of the company, we are sure that this smartphone is the clear proof, even with a limited budget you can work well.
The main camera of this N1 lite is from 8 mega-pixels but we can also go to Mega-pixel 13 through software interpolation, while for the front, we find a sensor from 5 mega-pixels; once the photographic application is open, we are facing the classic MediaTek software, which offers basic commands suitable for every user, present the function HDR and the face recognition mode.
A camera that behaves quite well: i daytime shots are sufficient, for those Night obviously the situation changes; the sensor can not guarantee excellent shots in unfavorable light situations; the video they are turned into HD.
Here we find 3000 mAh and a really performing battery: also thanks to the Hardware / Software optimization this N1 lite does not need to be recharged in the middle of the day.
We managed to easily cover the whole working day, managing to get 6 hours abound with the screen on, on a basis of 14 hours of use, without compromising on the energy-saving side. With a bland use, you can safely get to 2 full days with this smartphone.
On the official NubiaMobile website, they serve 149 € to take home this device, an entry-level smartphone, yes, but with excellent features.
This Nubia N1 Lite offers on the whole interesting features, level autonomy (not always in an entry-level you can get to 6 hours of display), a fingerprint unlocking sensor in the back, the possibility of using the 20 band and above all of 24 months warranty on the Italian territory.
