Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 could be the first smartphone with a fingerprint reader integrated into the display

In addition to the numerous smartphones presented at MWC 2017, in Barcelona it was also present Goodix, a leading manufacturer of fingerprint readers in the mobile sector. On the occasion of the Catalan fair, the first fingerprint reader integrated inside the display.

According to reports from the Asian analyst Pan Jiutang, this technology could be found with good probability on the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, whose launch is scheduled for the second half of the 2017.

However, it should be remembered that, at present, this function is designed exclusively for the panels AMOLED. Consequently, we must hope that Goodix implements this even on IPS screens or that the next Xiaomi concept phone has an AMOLED display.
