MediaTek Helio X30 info

Al Mobile World Congress 2017 di Barcelona, MediaTek has officially announced the availability of its latest high-end processor for this year: the MediaTek Helio X30. The SoC was created using a production process a 10 nm and will make its official debut in smartphones starting next quarter.

Just like its predecessor X20, the new one X30 offers a CPU with a design Tri-Cluster since we find 2 core Cortex A73 with clock a 2.5 GHz that make up the high-performance cluster, followed by 4 core Cortex A53 with clock a 2.2 GHz and other 4 from 1.9 GHz.

Thanks to technology CorePilot 4.0, MediaTek Helio X30 is able to guarantee energy savings up to 25% compared to the previous version of the SoC.

La CorePilot 4.0in particular, it foresees which cores of the CPU should be used to carry out a particular task, thanks also to the user experience monitoring technology. The idea behind it is to maximize battery life while ensuring better performance control.

On the GPU front, the MediaTek Helio X30 is flanked by the graphics card PowerVR 7XT Plus di Imagination Technologies with clock a 800 MHz which, according to the Taiwanese company, is 2,4 times faster than the GPU present alongside theHelio X20 and with a lower energy consumption up to 60%.

Let's find out in detail the top-end SoC of the Taiwanese company

The SoC is capable of supporting displays up to the resolution of 2560 1600 pixels x, Up to 8 GB di RAM LPDDR4X and type flash memories eMMC 5.1 e UFS 2.1.

Other improvements made on the new processor MediaTek include an image processing unit and the ISP processor ImagiQ 2.0 a 14 bit which supports sensors from 28 mega-pixels, double sensors from 16 + 16 mega-pixel and an improved one electronic image stabilization (ICE CREAM) to record video without flickers and a ultra-fast autofocus.

The SoC is also the first to include decryption support 4K to 10 bit HDR10 hardware for playing videos in 4K to 30 FPS. We also find on the new processor a LTE modem di 10 category with Carrier Aggregation 3x and with a theoretical maximum download speed of 450 Mb / s.

MediaTek states that the first smartphones moved from the chip MediaTek Helio X30 will be available in the second quarter of 2017. The Chinese producer Vernee has already announced that his next smartphone Vernee Apollo 2 will be moved by the X30.
