Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X certified by TENAA with MediaTek Helio X20

Xiaomi Note 4 Redmire

The next mid-range phablet of Xiaomi, Or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, has received certification from Tena. As can be seen from the official images offered by the Asian certification body, the device looks a lot like the other smartphones in the series Redmi Note which are currently available for purchase.

Compared to Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4, however, the Note 4X would come to the market with a slightly enhanced hardware compartment. Second a leaked photo of the “About Phone” section leaked yesterday, the Redmi Note 4X should have offered a processor octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage and the MIUI 8.1 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The documentation provided by the Tena, however, contradicts the details that emerged yesterday. In place of the Snapdragon 653, the certification body revealed that the terminal will be powered by an SoC deca-core MediaTek Helio X20.

No surprise, however, on the rest. We find, in fact, a display from 5.5 Full HD Thumbs, 4 GB of RAM and 32 / 64 GB of internal memory. As for the photographic sector, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X will have a main camera from 13 mega-pixels with autofocus PDAF along with a front from 5 mega-pixels.

As you can see from one of the images, the device looks very similar to the standard Redmi Note 4, with a fingerprint reader placed on the back-cover (only the bands for the antennas seem darker), while it will be powered by an integrated battery from 4100 mAh.

It will be interesting to see now if the Chinese company decides to use it Snapdragon 653 or theHelio X20, even if we remind you that it is currently forbidden to sell devices with SoC MediaTek in India due to an ongoing legal dispute with the Swedish giant Ericsson on issues related to some patents.

The Indian one is certainly one of the most important markets for the development of Xiaomi and, moreover, it is the third largest smartphone market after the Chinese and US, so the possibility remains that two versions of the device are released and that the Chinese certification body has reported (as normal it is) that intended for internal market.
