MWC 2016: MediaTek and NTT DOCOMO announce a collaboration for the development of the 5G

On the occasion of the Mobile World Congress 2016 which is taking place in these hours in the beautiful frame of Barcelona to which the staff of is participating, the Japanese operator NTT DOCOMO e MediaTek, the well-known Taiwanese tech company, they announced a new interesting collaboration.

The project of the two companies aims to develop and promote technology 5G.

Accompanying the project is an innovative technology developed by MediaTek: the "MediaTek Interference Cancellation"which, according to the company, will solve one of the major drawbacks of the 5G. In fact, during events or occasions where there is a large turnout, the network suffers interference caused by overlapping the signals of multiple users. Therefore, NTT DOCOMO e MediaTek they intend to work together on the development of a new wireless interface and the production of new chipsets designed for the new terminals that will feature the new technology. The aim of the project is to implement signal efficiency and increase the supported data capacity.
