Oppo is now a consolidated reality in the mobile panorama, a company that has been able to build a strong image, both for the construction quality of its products and for the reliability they demonstrate during use.
Today we talk about Oppo R7s, the new phablet of the Chinese company characterized by an excellent assembly, a very elegant design and well 4GB of RAM memory.

Oppo R7s - Sales package
Packaging identical to that of the recently reviewed Oppo devices; in the Oppo R7s sales box we find:
- Oppo R7s;
- USB VOOC charger with 4A output and non-European socket (the sales version will be equipped with the European charger);
- USB cable - micro USB;
- ear headphones not in ear;
- instruction manuals and warranty;
- protective cover in soft plastic.
Oppo R7s - Design and materials
Elegance and attention to detail are the main features of the construction of the Oppo R7s. Oppoonce again confirms the good things done in the past in this regard.
The dimensions of the device are equal to 151.8 x 75.4 x 7 mm for a weight of 155 grams. The R7s is built entirely of aluminum and the display is protected with Gorilla Glass 3 which makes the device even more resistant.
Furthermore, the device is held very well in the hand, despite the generous dimensions; the ergonomics are in fact good and in daily use there are no difficulties.
On the left side we find the rocker for volume adjustment.
On the right we find the button for switching the device on and off and the slot for inserting the two SIM cards or a SIM + Micro SD.
At the bottom, then, the system speaker, the micro USB connector (centrally) and, on the right, the main microphone are placed.
On the upper edge there is the second microphone for the reduction of environmental noise and the 3.5mm jack for headphones.
On the chin we find only the "Oppo" logo, as the classic Android keys - options, home and back - are "on screen".
Finally, on the top of the smartphone there is the 8 mega-pixel front camera, flanked by the ear capsule and proximity sensors and automatic brightness adjustment.
Oppo R7s - Display
The display supplied with the Oppo R7s is a good unit from 5.5 inches with FullHD resolution 1920 1080 pixels x on an AMOLED matrix panel with pixel density of PPI 401.
The color quality is good, while the viewing angles are excellent. The maximum brightness of the panel does not disappoint which, however, despite being good, does not appear to be at the top, even if, in general, the colors show a good "brilliance" and liveliness.
Oppo R7s - Internal memory
Oppo R7s has 32GB of internal storage, which, excluding the pre-installed applications and the system partition, become about 25GB available to the user.
Furthermore, as already mentioned, it will be possible to expand the internal memory via Micro SD, provided, however, that the R7s is not used with two SIM cards at the same time, as the slot is shared.
Oppo R7s - Hardware and performance
Although from a constructive point of view the device has nothing to envy to many other smartphones on the market, from the hardware point of view Oppo R7s is not a top of the range at 100% or at least its technical data sheet is not partially. The "partially" refers to the equipment of a mid-range processor, or one Snapdragon 615 (4 Core Cortex-A53 from 1.5GHz + 4 Core Cortex-A53 from 1.0GHz), SoC which is however joined by well 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM memory to 800MHz.
The GPU supplied to the R7s is instead one Adreno 405 and, in general, the performances that can be obtained are practically excellent in every field, starting from the web browser up to gaming, both with Asphalt 8 and with other very demanding titles.
Good results in video playback in FullHD, both in .MP4 and .MKV format, while tests with samples in 4K have not been successful.

E' single speaker which Oppo R7s is equipped with; the sound quality is very good, even if the output volume is not very high.
However, the good position of the speaker partially compensates for this "lack"; in addition, the equalization is good and all the frequencies are well reproduced.
Oppo R7s - Connectivity
Among the many positive aspects detectable on this Oppo R7s we also find the endowment of the connectivity compartment, well-functioning, with support Dual SIM (well managed at the software level) and with very good reception on both slots.
Furthermore, Oppo R7s is equipped with support for 4G LTE connectivity, including the 20 band (800MHz) that is often lacking in competitor devices.
Also the 802.11 Wi-Fi part a / b / g / n / ac and Bluetooth 4.0 is good; GPS, finally, is fast in the fix and very precise in establishing the position.

Also the camera compartment ofOppo R7s it is well optimized; we are in the presence of a back room from 13 mega-pixels with Samsung 3M2 ISOCELL sensor with f / 2.2 focal aperture and one front panel 8 mega-pixels with OmniVision OV8858 sensor and f / 2.4 aperture.
Leaving aside the technical data, in daily use the camera does not disappoint, especially in good light conditions, where the results are more than satisfactory; at night you lose a bit of quality and the photos turn out to be pasty and poco defined.

Oppo R7s - Software
Like the other devices in the house, the Oppo R7s also comes with the coloros, the ROM owned by the Chinese company that radically changes the user experience of Android, which is here in version 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Going beyond the assessments on the graphical interface, which may or may not suit the personal taste, the device is well optimized and, even if the hardware is not top of the range, allows us to carry out any operation without the least blockage or jamming.
In addition, the software also integrates some additional applications, such as, for example, the security center, a cloud service and even a theme store to further customize the interface of your device.
Oppo R7s - Autonomy
At the battery level we find a unit from 3000 mAh non removable that, thanks to the software optimization we were talking about poco ago, manages to guarantee a good autonomy during the medium stressful use to which you will submit it.
Oppo R7s, in fact, starting the day at about 8 in the morning, accompanies us until the evening at 21 about without problems, with about 4 hours of screen and use divided between 4G and Wi-Fi for 50% of time each.
Recharging via the VOOC charger from 4A it is very fast (from 0 to 100% in about 1 hour and 10 minutes).
