ZTE: "Here's how we will increase the market share in Italy" - Interview with Franco Cennamo

ZTE is one of the most famous Chinese smartphone manufacturers, known and appreciated also in the Bel Paese not only for the devices proposed but also for its commitment in the Tlc sector, within which it has proposed, over the years, solutions to vanguard for the diffusion of mobile networks.

In Italy, however, all the best devices produced by ZTE, such as those belonging to the top line, are not officially imported Nubia, but things seem destined to change. The products currently offered in Italy by ZTE are C2 Plus and Kis 2 (both with 4-inch display), Blade G Lux (with 4.5-inch display) and Blade L2 (pictured above) and Blade Vec 4G (both with 5-inch display).

All the devices listed above are sold by ZTE in the retail market, ie with the classic method of access to the physical / online store that is authorized for sale. In addition to this market, however, ZTE is also very present in partnerships with telephone operators such as Vodafone, 3 Italia and Fastweb, thanks to which it is possible to reach a greater range of users, thus increasing its popularity.

During 2014, ZTE improved these commercial agreements, signing an important contract with two other distributors such as Zap and Spal, which allowed the Chinese company to achieve satisfactory results.

During the interview, to the question "What will be the strategies to promote sales and best support dealers?“, Cennamo replied that“ the company will leverage on technological content such as support for 4G networks and the spread of devices with large displays. ZTE smartphones will be joined by those with the Nubia brand, to approach higher levels of the market thanks to specific techniques and class finishes premium. The strategy will probably be announced at Mobile World Congress of Barcelona ".

The interviewee also specified that the company is intervening to complete the Field Support service, in such a way as to join the operating channels and retail in all the problems that may be encountered, but also to provide information, both on products that on the company, in the phase of pre and post sales.

In fact, we remind you that, at present, ZTE is committed to guaranteeing a support service with complete repair and replacement cycle within 4 / 5 days.

"What will the incoming products be then?". To this question Cennamo responded by saying: "We have a rich roadmap of models coming in from here to March. We will focus on smartphones with 5 inch displays with 3G / 4G technology and we will also have a phablet with 5.5 display. inch ".

In the questions at the end of the interview, the Sales Manager was asked "On which topics to draw attention?“, Replying“ on the quality / price ratio of our devices, especially those of medium / high and high range, where the ratio is very good ”.

The added value of ZTE? According to Cennamo, first and foremost, the reliability of their products, relying on the know-how of the company that has been operating in the telecommunications sector since 1985, responding to high quality standards which it has never shirked. Another important aspect is the after-sales service: the low percentage of return of the products in assistance (symptom of high quality), combined with the speed in the repair process and return to the end user.
