Il Doogee DG280 Leo has a low-end hardware equipment, typical of smartphones sold to a price lower than the 100 euro.

The specifications provide, in fact, a processor quad-core Mediatek MT6582 at a clock of 1.3 GHz, flanked by one Mali 400 MP2 GPU to 500 MHz, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory expandable via MicroSD to 32 GB and a display from 4.5 inch IPS with resolution FWVGA ( 854 480 pixels x ).

Present the support to the dual SIM and to the networks 3G Italian (2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz; 3G: WCDMA 850 / 1900 / 2100MHz ), but unfortunately the 900 MHz band is missing, much used by Italian telephone operators.

A battery is included 1800 mAh, a main camera from 5 Mega-pixel equipped Flash LED and a front from 1.3 Mega-pixel. All contained in a large body 68.3 millimeters, long 133.5 millimeters and with a thickness of 8.8 millimeters, for a total weight of 134 grams.

At first glance the device looks very thin, but in reality this is due to the beveled edges that give a slimmer line to the smartphone.

The weight is well distributed, excellent grip thanks to the back cover "Rubbery" and to the small dimensions. Very simple but nice design, pity that the soft-touch keys are not backlit.

Unfortunately, the notification LED is missing, features that we now find even on cheaper smartphones.

At the top of the device we find the audio jack from 3.5 mm.

On the left side, we find the On / Off button that also allows you to lock and unlock the device.

While at the bottom we find the microUSB port and the only microphone installed on the smartphone.

In the front part - starting from the bottom - we find i three soft-touch keys not backlit, the 4.5 inch display with 854 x 480 pixel resolution and the front camera, the headset capsule and the proximity and brightness sensors at the top.

On the back side of the device, however, we have a back-cover made of a particular material "Rubbery" e flexible, the 5 Mega-pixel camera and the Flash LED - at the top - and the speaker at the bottom.

Under the back-cover we find the slot for the microSD, the battery of 1800 mAh and the two slots for the SIM, one of which Micro SIM, for the main sim, and one standard, for the second SIM.

At first glance the screen is quite defined, even if it is easy to see the pixels given the low resolution. However, the panel is sufficient for basic use of the smartphone.

The system is very fluid thanks to the presence of 4.4.2 Android Kitkat, which, as known, allows to have a reduced consumption of RAM and, therefore, manages to manage the operations also on this DG280 despite the single single GigaByte.

The possibility of waking up the smartphone with a double touch on the display, a feature present on some top-of-the-range smartphones from the most well-known manufacturers, but recently also spread among low-cost devices. There are also smart-gestures, thanks to which it will be possible to start some applications by drawing a letter on the off screen of the device in stand-by.
