After finally finding a manager for India, OnePlus is now preparing for the start of operations in the new Asian market.
The Chinese start-up has recently confirmed that, exclusively for the Indian market, a marketing team will be built that will handle the management of all activities. An important step forward and a bet that OnePlus manages all operations, in various international markets where it is present, directly from Shenzen.
The team that will work on the Indian market will do so in close contact with selected e-commerce resellers, which will make OnePlus One available on pre-sale rather than through the unsuccessful invitation system. Here are the words of Carl Pei, director of OnePlus:
The Indian one is a very interesting market, characterized by a high growth rate; this is the right time to enter. We are talking to all three e-commerce leaders active in India, we hope to be able to finish everything already this week.
When asked then about the possibility of seeing a OnePlus Windows-Phoen in the future, Pei responds like this:
We have already talked to Microsoft about a Windows-Phone. We are still thinking about it.
In summary: OnePlus could finally enter India before the 2015 and, above all, the OnePlus 2 could be accompanied by a device with Windows operating system.
