They have similar dimensions, are equipped with a similar high-end hardware and both offer their own moddata Android ROM. I refer, of course, to the Meizu MX4 and the IUNI U3, today's protagonists of this photo-comparison made by our Andi. Let's see them side by side!
Meizu and IUNI are currently competing in China in the "ultra-competitive" price range of 1.999 yuan. The competition is not lacking and in fact we could also add to this challenge the Xiaomi Mi4, the Nubia Z7 and the OnePlus One.
But returning to U3 and MX4, it is necessary to point out that each of these smartphones has pros and cons: focusing on the "pros", for example, the MX4 has a slightly lower price, while the IUNI U3 has a higher resolution display. high (2K). However, both are worthy of fully entering the Top of the Range ranking.
MEIZU MX4 AND IUNI U3 - Specifications[komper pid = 138 category = 10 compareform = no]
The Meizu MX4
Meizu has been producing smartphones for a few years now and from this comes a great experience in device design. The MX4, in fact, in its realization represents the most recent possible production technologies, in particular with its light alloy frame, in favor of the less comfortable stainless steel.
Meizu has also long been linked to Samsung, with the latter in the role of processor supplier. As widely anticipated by rumors, with this new MX4 Meizu has "moved" to Mediatek. In fact, the Meizu MX4 chip is an MT6595 octacore processor with big.LITTLE architecture, with 4 Cortex-A7 cores and 4 Cortex-A17. This architecture will allow the system to better manage the need for power, thus contributing to the improvement of the device's autonomy.
Another big change for the MX4 is the use of a main camera from Mega-pixel 20,7, with the sensor re-supplied by Sony. With this great sensor and a feature-rich Camera App, the Meizu MX4 proved to be flexible and powerful enough to take great photos in all conditions of use. Despite the opening F2.2 camera performance surprised, as well as the quality of the dual LED flash (double-toned).
As already known, the ROM runs on the MX4 Flyme 4.0 based on 4.4 Android Kitkat. The ROM is made in-house by Meizu and replaces the previous Flyme 3.0 with some pleasant improvements such as, for example, the camera application, the gestures on the lock screen, and new colors, icons and backgrounds.
In China the price of the Meizu MX4 is incredibly fixed at 1.799 Yuan, however internationally the price has increased to 449 dollars!
The IUNI U3
IUNI is a new reality in the Chinese mobile phone sector, which, in less than 12 months, has managed to surprise everyone with smartphones with very interesting features.
The IUNI U3 is the second phone made by the company, a smartphone made with a magnesium alloy frame, wrapped in a plastic back shell. On the front we find a 5,5-inch display with 2K resolution. Such a resolution is absolutely incredible when we consider that the IUNI U3 costs only 1.999 yuan in China. Gaming, videos, movies, web browsing, reading, photos… everything will be wonderful with this IUNI U3.
All this is also seasoned with 3GB of RAM and a powerful Snapdragon 801 processor! In practice, the IUNI U3 is equipped with the same hardware as the OPO and the Xiaomi Mi4.
The specifications are completed by a 3000mAh battery and a 13 mega-pixel Sony camera with F2.0 aperture, equipped with the very useful OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer)! IUNI has also equipped the U3 with an ultra-pixel front camera!
But what makes the IUNI U3 so unique is the fact that the phone will be equipped with dual SIM LTE support (1 x LTE and 1x GSM) on its own IUNI OS ROM, again based on Android 4.4 Kitkat, in our opinion a of the most beautiful ROMs among those made by various manufacturers.
MEIZU MX4 AND IUNI U3 - and the winner is…
Although very similar from many points of view, the Meizu MX4 and the IUNI U3 are definitely aimed at two different types of consumers. The IUNI U3 is perhaps easier to use, so if you are looking for a powerful smartphone with a friendly interface, this could be the right choice for you.
The Meizu MX4, however, is a smartphone "more international", very well made, lightweight, a battery of excellent durability, a feature-rich ROM and is officially available outside of China with official warranty of the manufacturer (in Italy on Meizu.it with 24 months of warranty and product replacement in case of assistance intervention).
However, Meizu has to look good from IUNI, as with the addition of a couple of options in ROM, support for Google Play and the availability of an FDD-LTE model, our opinion could quickly change![GIZCHINA.COM]
