MediaTek's release of sources for Android 4.4 KitKat has marked a deep line among Chinese smartphone makers. Some companies haven't even started updating their products, others never will. iOcean instead, with biblical times and not a few problems, is trying to update all the smartphones in its range.
Without a doubt the company still has a lot to learn, and the updates should be distributed via OTA and already widely tested, but the commitment is still a sign of seriousness, and we hope that the growth of iOcean will continue at full speed.
Returning to the news, a new post on the official Facebook page of iOcean informed the users of iOcean G7, X8, X7S and X7HD that the complaints were accepted, and that next week will be released of the updated ROM, always based on KitKat, but with various correct bugs. The commitment of the developers should also fall on the translation, unfortunately missing in some applications and some parts of the system.
