Indian manufacturer Xolo has long announced its intention to make its own customized version of Android, the Hive UI. It seems that the first smartphone to arrive on the market with the new ROM will be the XOLO Play 8X-1000.
The XOLO Play 8X-1000 should offer an octa-core MediaTek MT6592 1.7GHz processor, a 5-inch display with HD resolution 1280 x 720 pixels and 2GB of RAM memory. It is therefore not a top of the range, but a smartphone with good performance. The new Hive UI could represent the Indian manufacturer's attempt to reproduce the success of Xiaomi's MIUI, gaining notoriety through the software.[Via GizChina.com]
