Pipo is China's fastest-growing tablet maker, beginning with the RK3066-based dual-core tablet series in the 2012. This year, the company is ready to start again on the tablet market, with a new range of devices based on the RK3288 processor.
Our sources suggest that the company is preparing to launch a new series of animated tablets from Rockcip's latest quad-core chipset, the Rockchip RK3288. The RK3288 series represents the successor of the popular RK3188 series and, according to the details that emerged, should bring improvements in all aspects. The processor now operates at the frequency of 1.8GHz with 4 core Cortex at 17 working together. The graphics are entrusted to the new ARM Mali T-760 chip, which promises a high performance improvement.
Pipo will present a series of devices with the classic tablet sizes, with displays from 8.9, 9.7 and 10.1 inches. It is not clear at the moment what will be the resolution of these displays, but at least we will find full HD panels, perhaps passing the resolution of 2560 x 1600p for top models. Another important new feature will be the support of the new RK3288 chipset to 4K videos!
We will have more precise information at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair, which will be held next month. Stay tuned!
