Exactly 1 week ago the team OnePlus announces in an absolutely indiscreet, changing the cover of his Facebook page, the change (?) of processor adopted for its OnePlus One: no longer the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 seen on many of the topgames launched on the market from the second half of the 2013 on, but rather its upgrade, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801.
Two days later instead the big announcement: the OnePlus One will officially unveil the next 23 April! The days that divide us from the event are exactly 25, once still big enough, at least to give the public a new surprise, whatever it is. A bit 'we sincerely expect it, probably the design of the phone will remain top secret until the end but maybe some other twist ... With OnePlus you will have understood, you can expect everything!
Take everything with pliers, I recommend. Until now Pete Lau & co. they always claimed that the panel used for the display would have been a 5.5 inch with Full-HD 1920 × 1080 resolution, initially receiving also many complaints from fans because these enthusiasts hoped for something more, a further effort. The reason given was reasonable: an 2K 2560 × 1440 display would have consumed too much battery and the difference from a Full-HD would have been minimal!
Coincidentally [we repeat it, take it all with pliers!] on the website of the Asian consortium JDI appeared 3 days ago the news of a new 2K display from 5.5 inch with pixel density monstre, well 538 ppi, and dimensions of 70.94mm x 128.26mm x 1.35mm. A display with LPTS technology (low-temperature polysilicon) which helps to improve the aperture ratio of the pixels and that would allow a high transmittance and a very low energy consumption ... maintaining the subtlety typical of the TFT Full-HD LCD panels.
We had already checked the list of displays offered by JDI and among them the one from 5.5 inches actually lacked. We suspected something! All that remains is to wait for the 23 April or check the OnePlus Facebook page from time to time!
