Lately we have heard a lot about it Mediatek and its solutions ...Qualcomm? Where is it?
Bhè Qualcomm for the MWC 2014, in addition to the launch of the Snapdragon 801, has in store also that of the new chipset Snapdragon 610 e 615.
Currently if a manufacturer wants to make an 8-core device, the available options are 2: or Samsung Exynos or the Mediatek MT6592 (to be honest our team right in these hours has immortalized the 1 ° device with Mediatek processor MT6595 8-core 4G LTE and Os Android 4.4 Kitkat). The problem is that both solutions lack both 4G LTE and 64-bit architecture. Qualcomm has the solution!
Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 - 8-CORE, 4G LTE, 64-bit
The Snapdragon 615 is a new processor for the mid-range market. Based on architecture a 64-bit with core A53, this new solution offers a great balance between performance and efficiency and above all guarantees connectivity LTE 4G to a affordable price.
Qualcomm has tried to push and help the manufacturers to head quickly to this new processor (but also to the Snadragon) making it compatible with the current Snapdragon 410 launched last December and providing it with a modern LTE chip that will help to contain the costs.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 - Quad-core
Obviously not only the 8-core solution is present. The 610 Snapdragon offers features similar to those of the Snapdragon 815 but with fewer cores.
Both the Quad-Core 610 Snapdragon and the 615 8-Core Snapdragon will be available for manufacturers starting in the last quarter of this year. We can expect the first devices with these chipsets from the very first months of the 2015!
