The 2K 2560 × 1440 display of the Vivo Xplay 3S seen under the microscope (Vs. IPhone and HTC One)

Vivo Xplay 3S - display

After the announcement of Vivo of the use of a panel with 3K 2 × 2560 resolution for his Vio Xplay 1440S, the enthusiasm was certainly great… the question is this: how consistent will be the benefit brought by all those pixels?

The question of our actual need for such resolute displays has yet to be settled, but the manufacturers don't seem to be particularly interested in the discussion.

The first of all should be the Vivo 3-inch Xplay 5.7S, with 515ppi pixel density. To be clear, the Retina display of the iPhone boasts a pixel density of 326ppi, the FullHD one of the new HTC One 468ppi. Of course these are just numbers, what will the real effect be? Well, the image below shows the differences with IPhone and HTC One.

These sensitive differences are produced by microscopic visions, but we do not know if the naked eye will be so "tangible".

Il Vivo Xplay 3S is expected to launch in December, complete with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 4G LTE network support.
