The rumor that TCL, a company belonging to the Alcatel group, is about to launch an 8-core update of its Idol X only emerged last week. The renders here represent the first (unofficial) image of the upcoming Idol X +.
TCL / Alcatel launched its Idol X at the beginning of the year; a slim, elegant phone that has become very popular thanks to the special build quality and the amazing performance of its quad-core processor. Despite this, however, the Chinese company seems to have decided to retire the Idol X, guaranteeing him a worthy successor, the Idol X + 8-core.
From previous rumors we had learned that the new TCL would take advantage of the design of its previous version, although from these new renderings, we can see that this is not the case. Regarding the specifications we talk about 5 display full-HD 1920 × 1080, 2GB of RAM and 8-core processor.
Nothing is known of the price yet, but it should probably be presented to the next CES 2014.
