With the new Mediatek 8-core and LTE chipsets coming soon, the dear and good old dual-core MT6577 seemed inexorably destined for early retirement ... ... but it does not! LG has just formalized a new entry-level 5.5 inch phablet powered by the MT6577 dual-core chipset: LG G PRO LITE!
It has long been rumored that other "famous" brands, following what Sony already did with the Xperia C, would have produced entry-level smartphones powered by the chipsets of the emerging Chinese house Mediatek. LG with the launch of its LG G Pro Lite phablet confirms these forecasts, offering a cheaper alternative to its TOP GAMMA products.
LG G Pro Lite, in fact, is not distinguished by specifications, being equipped with a display from 5.5 QHD (960 x 540), 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory and, as anticipated, the dual-core MT6577 from 1Ghz.
However, despite the entry-level features, the LG G Pro lite will still be launched with stylus pen, a feature sought after among phablet fans and dual SIM support.
The specifications are completed by an 8 mega-pixel rear camera and 2 front camera, 3.140mAh battery and Android 4.1.2. Finally, even the dimensions are not really "record": 150.2 * 76.9 * 9.48.
It is still unclear whether the LG G Pro Lite phablet will be commercialized in Europe. As always we will keep you updated!VIA]
