Japan Display features a 7 ”Wide-QXGA 2560 × 1600 display with 432ppi!

After the presentation of last week of the new panels for smartphones with WhiteMagic technology, Japan Display Inc (JDI), one of the leading LCD display manufacturers in the world, announced today Innovation Vehicles 2013 that will enter the market in the next year.

The most interesting prototype is the 7 inch panel with Wide-QXGA 2560 × 1600 resolution from the disproportionate 432 ppi ratio.
Thanks to WhiteMagic technology, the same adopted by smartphone displays, the tablet should reduce energy consumption by more than 60% compared to current RGB displays, while maintaining the same lighting.
The panel, with the thickness of 1,17 mm, will support touch and stylus pen, thanks to Pixel Eye technology.
