Introduced the Meizu MX3: complete details and specifications

Meizu MX3

The launch of the Meizu MX3 ended a few hours ago. Here are all the latest news directly from the event organized in Beijing!

The MX3 has finally been unveiled and is, as expected, very similar to the previous MX2, but Meizu still managed to surprise us in a couple of things with this new phone!

Design of the Meizu MX3

First of all, what surprised us is the new design. The Meizu MX3 is larger than the MX2 by measuring 66,1 x 110,2 x 9,1 millimeters, but it is the thinner 21% of the MX2. The battery of the MX3 is instead of the 35% larger than that of the MX2 and the screen is larger than the 20%. The display of the Meizu MX3 is 64% larger than that of the iPhone 5.

Meizu MX3

As usual, Meizu has worked hard on the realization of design. In fact, even in the case of the Meizu MX3 the lines are very accurate.

Moving on to the display on the Meizu MX3 we find a 5.1-inch panel with an aspect ratio of 15:09 (as we reported before launch) and a density of 415PPI! The leaked information was correct and in fact the display is manufactured by Sharp and JDI, and uses technology similar to what Sony, Hitachi and Toshiba are currently using.

Performance of the Meizu MX3

Again our sources were right. In fact, the processor used on the Meizu MX3 is an Octa-core Exynos 5 from Samsung, associated with 2GB of DDR3 RAM.

Meizu MX3

In addition to the powerful Octa-core processor, Meizu has worked to improve the battery performance of the MX3 by adding some interesting features including the WIFI 5G that allows a saving of resources up to 50%.

Meizu MX3

According to Meizu's calculations, with this optimization, plus others that concern the screen, you can reach an autonomy of 14 hours in 3G, 12 hours of 2G, 9 hours of web browsing with 3G, 10 hours web surfing in WIFI, 7 hours of FULLHD video playback, 40 hours of music and 393 hours of standby time, all with the small Sony battery from 2400mAh!

Meizu MX3 camera

Meizu MX3

Poco before the launch of the MX3 there was news that the phone would not have a 13 mega-pixel camera, but instead one with only 8 mega-pixels. This thing turned out to be surprisingly true!

Meizu said the 8 megapixel sensor with F2.0 FXMUMX aperture is able to absorb more light and capture 2% images faster than before.

The sensor is a third generation 8 mega-pixel backlit Sony that also allows for a faster "burst" mode!

Atri details on the Meizu MX3

Meizu MX3

Meizu started with the production of MP3 players and has continued to follow its audio roots with every phone launched to date. The MX3 is different and equipped with a Wolfson audio processor to improve the performance of the headphones.

Meizu MX3

The MX3 also supports Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi and NFC.

Flyme 3.0

Although Meizu has always equipped its phones with excellent hardware, their ROMs are always a little disappointed with the numerous bugs.

Meizu MX3

The latest version of Flyme promises to put an end to these problems and is based on features that have already been launched with the MX2.

The Smart Bar returns as SmartBar 2.0, a very nice feature indeed. It is essentially a virtual menu bar that disappears when not in use to increase the usable screen size.

Flyme 3.0 now offers sliding menus, as well as a way to use the applications one on top of the other, as in the case of the calculator running on the keyboard (see photo).

Meizu MX3

We could continue to talk about the changes in Flyme 3.0, but a dedicated article would be necessary given the number of novelties.
