Yesterday Apple finally launched its updated iPhone 5S. Let's see what comes out of a comparison of the 7 generation iPhone with the Chinese Android phones!
September is always an important month for smarpthone enthusiasts. Meizu kicked off the month with the launch of its 3-inch, 5.1-core Meizu Mx8, then it was Xiaomi's turn with the launch of the 'fastest smartphone in the world', the Xiaomi Mi3, Apple presented the new iPhone 5S yesterday and Oppo will announce the Oppo N1 at the end of the month!
Exciting times, then, if you are a fan of Android phones, but not so much if you were expecting great innovations from the new iPhone! Unsurprisingly, Apple has announced a "minor" update for its iPhone 5.
Let's take a look at the features of the iPhone 5s compared to the flagship devices of Xiaomi, Meizu and Oppo.
iPhone 5S Vs Chinese Android Phones[Table id = 2 /]
As you can see from the table above the iPhone 5s is the smallest of the 4 devices, but is also currently the only one that supports LTE networks (The launch of the Oppo N1 could change this thing) and the only phone to have a 64bit processor and fingerprint scanner.
But let's take a look at what the 5s iPhone does not have.
All of the Android phones on the list have a 5-inch display (Oppo's will probably be the largest) with a resolution of at least 1920 x 1080. Each of the Chinese Android phones also boasts technologically advanced and up-to-date cameras. The Mi3 has a 13 megapixel camera, the MX3 has an 8 megapixel sensor, but a better F2.0 aperture and the N1 will even have a detachable lens that will offer exceptional performance in photos and videos.
Oppo, Xiaomi and Meizu have also equipped their NFC support phones, making them easy to connect to other devices, for sharing data and making simple electronic payments. All of them have an Android operating system with more features than those of iOS 7!
Another problem is the price! The iPhone 5s 16GB will be available in Italy probably starting from 699 euros! The Meizu MX3 with memory from 16 GB to 306 euros (from China), the Xiaomi Mi3 64GB directly from Italy on Xiaomishop.it it will be sold for only 399 euros and the Oppo N1 should cost around 3776 euros (in China).
Are Chinese Android phones more desirable?
The iPhone 5s is a small upgrade compared to the previous iPhone 5, while many of the Chinese phones, such as those listed here, have new and interesting features: 8-core processors, NFC, Snapdragon 800, Tegra 4, cameras with detachable lenses, etc. , and ... they cost a lot less!
