The Chinese home maker of cheap Beidou smartphones has been a bit far from the spotlight, but now it's back with a new low-cost device with a Quad-Core Mediatek MT6589T processor.
Beidou is obviously aware of the recent success of Xiaomi Hongmi and hopes to do just as well with the launch of a device that supports the WCDMA network.
Sales of the Spring Onion will start tomorrow at 10.00 am in China. The Chinese smartphone, priced at $ 130 (about € 98), will be powered by a 6589 Ghz Mediatek MT1,5T SoC processor and will guarantee support for the WCDMA network (thus being compatible with some foreign operators, including Italian ones!). Concludes the specifications 1 GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, 5-inch HD 1280 × 720 display, dual-sim support, 8 mega-pixel rear camera and 2000 mAh of battery.
At first the device will be officially launched only in China, but judging by the success abroad received by Xiaomi Hongmi, we do not think that we will have to wait so long to see it in the list of international dealers.
